- Open a table Pick a game on your phone, then open a table.
- Share the code Send the code or the link, or let your friend scan the QR code.
- Play together Chat while you play. Then switch games or play another round.
If you sit together, get the app on both phones and find a table over Bluetooth or the same Wi-Fi.

Can two people play chess on two phones?
Yes. Open Recess, choose Chess and tap With a friend. Then send your friend the code or the link.
Can I play Chinese Chess online with a friend far away?
Yes. Open Recess on both phones and use the table code to join the same table. You can play Go and Mandarin Squares this way too.
Can we play without internet?
Yes. Sit together with the app on both phones, then find a table over Bluetooth or the same Wi-Fi. Playing in a browser needs internet.
Does my friend need to install anything?
No. Your friend can open the link in a browser and play with an internet connection. To play nearby without internet, you both need the app.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account or sign-up, and Recess has no ads.
